Our First Article

Welcome to Aoton Works.

We named the studio after ἄωτον — the finest specimen of its kind — because we got tired of seeing engineering treated as the boring middle step between an idea and a finished product. It isn't. It's where the idea actually becomes possible, where the prototype either survives the bench or doesn't, where a clever concept gets the tolerances and the BOM and the manufacturability that let it exist in the real world.

That's what we do. UAVs, mechatronics, motorsport, marine, medical, structural, industrial — the domains shift, but the work underneath is the same: clarify the constraints, prototype hard, fail fast, optimize for production. Our four-stage process is just a clean description of how we already think.

This blog is where we'll show our working. Not glossy case studies — those live on the Projects page. This is the engineer's notebook version: design rationale, dead ends, lessons that cost us a week. The kind of thing we wish more studios published when we were starting out.
